The purpose of this price increase policy for service contracts, known as the "Service Golden Rule," is to establish the procedures and guidelines that allow those responsible for the process in each PBS country to evaluate and define, on an annual basis, the price increase levels based on local cost variations. This mechanism applies to all signed service contracts, regardless of the type of product or brand involved, ensuring that the projected profitability levels are met for 100% of PBS service contracts at the regional level.
The main objective is for this process to align with the need to cover operational cost increases resulting from factors such as inflation, regulatory changes, increased taxes or tariffs, and other unforeseen factors. Additionally, it aims to ensure the effective update and applicability of the adjusted prices in the billing applications in System One.
